A suicide bomber was standing among the recruits lining up outside General Dhegobadan’s military camp when the explosion occurred.
At least 15 army recruits were killed in a suicide bombing attack at a military training camp in Mogadishu, the Somali capital.
Army officer Mohamed Adan said the suicide bomber behind Tuesday’s attack was in disguise among recruits queuing outside General Dhegobadan’s military camp when the explosion occurred.
“I counted around 15 new recruits who were killed in the blast,” he said, adding that the death toll could be higher.
The injured were taken to Madina Hospital in Mogadishu, according to Reuters news agency.
