The Vox Book Club is linked to Bookshop.org to support local and independent booksellers.
Here is how the Vox Book Club works: Each month we choose a book. Around the middle of the month, we publish a discussion post with thoughts and questions from Vox book reviewer Constance Grady, but we also have comments enabled and moderated so you can share your thoughts as well. Talk to each other! Post your opinions and questions! Or use the conversation as a starting point for your own conversations with friends and family. And at the end of the month, we meet up on Zoom for a live virtual chat.
Our pick for May 2021 is Sanjena Sathian’s confident and immersive debut novel Gold diggers. He has alchemy, heists and diaspora politics, and that should give us a lot to say! Constance will host a live chat of Gold diggers Wednesday, May 19 at 5 p.m. ET, with Sathian herself. We would love to see you there! You can RSVP here, and in the meantime, subscribe to the Vox Book Club newsletter to be notified of new book selections, discussions and related live events.
